Payments

We accept payment via Debit/Credit cards, bank transfer and cash on collection.

Cash on collection is only available for large items being collected in person by the purchaser. A deposit of 10% of the item price will be required (by bank transfer) within 24 hours of the order. Items not collected and paid for within 10 days of ordering will be relisted for sale & deposit forfeited to cover storage costs. Should you require further time to collect, please contact us.

Our payments are processed by Stripe, a fully encrypted payment processing merchant. Your details are secure, we do not have access to your payment card details at any time.

Bank transfer details are provided during checkout.

Please take care when entering payment details. We are not responsible for mis-directed payments.

Goods remain the property of That Takes Me Back until payment is received in full. We reserve the right to cancel/not process any payment that we believe to be fraudulent or an attempt to launder funds. We will report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities and will comply fully with any investigation in to such activity.

Delivery

Unless stated, all large items (furniture etc) are for local collection only, on a date by mutual agreement.

You are welcome to arrange your own courier for larger items. You must provide prior notice of intended date of collection and this date must be mutually agreeable. In the event that you arrange your own courier to collect your item, we will not be responsible for any delay, damage or loss caused to your item whilst in the care of your chosen service provider. Please ensure that your courier is insured for damage in transit and loss

Smaller items and those eligible for delivery will be specified as such in the item description/listing. We use EVRI, Royal Mail or Parcel Force for delivery of such items. We reserve the right to choose the the most appropriate and cost effective method of service for delivery. We may, without notice, use a different delivery service in the event of disruption to services by one of our preferred delivery partners. The cost of delivery will be shown during the checkout process and will include insurance against loss/damage for the full purchase price of your item.  

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase. We Take care to provide a detailed and accurate description of the item, along with detailed images. The item you receive will be the item that is advertised. Please bear in mind that these items are antique/vintage/retro and by this very definition will be of a used nature and of an age where wear and tear, scuffs and scratches would be expected and normal (as listed in the item description). 

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we will contact you to arrange the return. The item should be returned, at your expense, using the same method of original collection/delivery. Items returned to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that if your country of residence is not United Kingdom, shipping your goods may take longer than expected.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we may evaluate the issue and make it right.
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 3 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 3 days for any reason and without justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
